VP Prof. Li Gensheng led the delegation team to three Canadian universities
In November 2018, by the invitation of the University of Waterloo, the University of Calgary and the University of Alberta, Vice-President Li Gensheng of China University of Petroleum -Beijing and his delegation visited three universities. During the visit, CUPB signed cooperation agreements with three universities, discussed joint training of double master's degree, scientific research cooperation and joint laboratory construction, the Charter of the World Energy University Alliance, and reached many new intentions for expanding cooperation projects and fields. Heads of Graduate School and International Office accompanied VP's visiting.
At the University of Waterloo, the two sides discussed the World Energy University Alliance, summer school and artificial intelligence, and signed a renewal agreement of the memorandum of cooperation between the two universities. At the University of Calgary, The two sides elaborated the Charter of the World Energy University Alliance, developed concrete cooperation under the Alliance and jointly conducted bilateral talks.Master's program, student visits and other aspects of the project were discussed.
At the University of Alberta, Li Gensheng and his party held talks with Matthias Ruth, vice president of scientific research, Huang Cen, associate vice president of scientific research and graduate school, Anne Naeth, vice president of the Institute of Technology, Ying Tsui, and Li Huazhou, associate professor of the Institute of Technology. The two sides discussed the constitution of the World Energy University Alliance and the future energy system project.
